Holmdel Real Estate

Holmdel is a suburban town right off of exit 114 on the parkway and very convenient to NYC transportation. The town has its roots primarily in farming, but has grown into a top-notch suburban town. It remained largely rural until Ball Labs and some other larger companies built large suburban campuses in the area and when the Garden State Parkway was built right through the area making it much more easily accessible for commuters and visitors.

When development began in the the 1960s the homes were mostly 2000-3000 sq ft homes on one acre lots as that was the zoning requirement at the time. Several small custom developments were built as a need for housing increased as people left the North Jersey cities. As time went on into the 80s development began on a larger scale once again. The economy was improving and once again people were looking for bigger homes.

A lot of custom developments were built in "the hills of Holmdel" as many of the building sites were on rolling wooded lands which made for a very serene environment and fostered alot of privacy. Today, Holmdel has top rated schools, a great town and offers a fantastic lifestyle while only being less than an hour to Manhattan. It has wonderful sports programs and offers a great lifestyle to its residents.
